Les Miserables

Fantine is young and beautiful. She fell in love with a man in paris but Fantine had no family and money. Her love is just short. Fantine had a little girl called Cosette. Fantine had a daughter but no husband, so she couldn’t work anywhere. She had to work for her daughter. She was obliged to leave Cosette with Monsieur and Madame Thenardier. Fantine worked hard and she sent money for her daughter but that money used for Thenardier’s daughter. To make matters worse, Fantine lost her job. After then Thenardier demanded more money so Fantine cut off her hair and sent money for Cosette. In winter she was afflicted with one man. Then she hit man’s face for mistake. Because of this, she nearly go to prison for six month but she got bad condition and she was taken to the hospital by Monsieur Madeleine. Fantine wanted to see Cosette. She asked to Monsieur Madeleine bring to her daughter but Javert interrupted them. Fantine wailed and requested again to Monsieur Madeleine, take care of her daughter, Cosette. After then, she was dead.

Poor Fantine’s life was very sad. I think the only time she was happy was when she was young and fell in love with someone. I think the experience that changed Fantine’s life occurred when she had Cosette. Without husband with child was very trivial. For example, chapter 2, on page 7, line 5 says “Fantine has a child but no husband and a woman without a husband is nothing.” Fantine had to work for her daughter, but it was hard to get a job. For example, chapter 2, on page 7, line 13 says “There’s no work here for a woman like you.” Fantine had to send to money for her daughter so she worked hard everyday. We can see this part on chapter 2, on page 8 to 9. Later Fantine’s health got worse. She didn’t see Cosette for last time, finally Fantine was dead. I think Fantine is a very, very poor woman. If she didn’t have Cosette, she didn’t have to work and didn’t get worse health. If she had a husband, she may have lived a happy life. So, I think Fantine had Cosette without husband is the experience that changed her life.

I think this book is very educational. In this book, there are many characters - helpful person Jean Valjean, poor woman Fantine, bad person Jarvert and somebody else. I think this story is similar in this time. Actually this moment is better than book’s moment but not much different. In this time some people attack woman who has child without husband like Fantine and poor people like Jean Valjean. I think there are many people like Javert today. The other way there are many people like Jean Valjean too. The thing what I want to say, we try to become person like Jean Valjean. It doesn’t mean steal someone’s. It means help poor people. Of course, it will be very hard, but we must try at least. After we do that, it makes a much better society.

Elephant Man

His name is Joseph Merrick. He was very quiet person and he looked ugly. His head did not have much hair, and there was another bag of brown, dirty skin at the back of it. This skin came down below his neck and face. He had a red tooth that looked like an elephant’s tooth. The face could not smile or laugh or look angry or sad, because the skin could not move. It was dead, like an elephant’s skin. His right arm was enormous, and there were bags of skin on it. It was like a man’s foot, but the left hand was beautiful. His legs were very big and fat, and he had a bad back, so he could not walk without a stick.

 

When he went to a hospital a beautiful young woman, came to the hospital and she smiled at him and shook his hand. For the first time in his life, he had some friends. People began to read about Merrick in the newspapers, so he had a lot of visitors including the Queen of England. When Merrick saw a play, he remembered this play for a long time, so he wanted to go to the country like in the play. Merrick stayed there for six weeks, and he was wonderfully happy. At the end of the summer he went back to London, but six months later he died in bed. He did not usually sleep on his back but he wanted to sleep on his back. Then his heavy head came off the bed, and he broke his neck.

I thought Merrick was very hopeful because at first Merrick was very lonely and hopeless. There was no one for him because he looked like an elephant. For example, on page 4 ugly face, dead skin, big arm. I thought Merrick cursed these things. When he met Dr, Treves, he got hope because he did many things after he met Treves. For example, on page 22 to 26 Dr. Treves tried to help him, and Merrick had friends for the first time and he lived in the country.

Wanted

(Wesley Gibson)

His name is Wesley Gibson. He was a just employee. His boss, named Jenny, always gives him stress. He had no confidence and he always says ‘sorry’ to his boss and others. He had one friend who works at the same company, but he betray Wesley by cheating with his girlfriend. Wesley was not upset at them.

Oneday, when he went to a market for his drugs, he met a woman named Fox. She is very sexy and attractive, then gunshots happened. Fox protected Wesley and she took him to Sloun who was the leader in killer’s company. Sloun told him about his father. That is, Wesley’s father was a killer. This event changed Wesley’s life.

Later, Wesley decided to be a killer because his life was boring and he wanted revenge. It was not truth what Sloun told him, but he trusted him and he overcame hard training to be a killer. Next, when he became killer, he was the best killer. He had confidence, courage, and decisiveness. Sadly, he killed his father because of Sloun’s trick. So, he went to his company and killed them all. He also killed Sloun to revenge his real father.

In the future, I think, Wesley will make a crew or company to do good things because he is a kind and honest person although he is a killer. So, I think he will use his ability to kill bad people like a hero. In different way, he will join I.M.F(Impossible Mission Force)company in a movie named ‘Mission Impossible’. He will join that company and he will become an agent. Then he will work for his country.

Experience that Changed My Life

 

 

  Let me explain about my experience that changed my life.

  First, when I was 7, I entered the hospital. I got a sick because I had kidney trouble because of involuntary smoking through people. So I was in hospital about a week. This experience made me care about health myself. I hate about smoking because of this experience.

 

  The second experience that changed my life was entering university. I entered university when I was 20years old. My hometown is far away from here, so I started live alone. This experience is the first time in my life. It brought me a strong ability to maintain my livelihood.

My Friend

I'd like to tell you about my friend 'Song Soo Won'. He lives near my home in Suwon. He studies about camera recording at his school. He likes to dance, watch movies, and take a pictures. When I lived in Suwon , I usually spent time with him.

His goals are similar to my goals. His goal is to be a camera director, and my goal is working about broadcast. So, it is easy to be friends. Now, we stay far from each other, so we worry about each other.

Hello.

My name is Lee Seung Min. I am 23 years-old, and I am from Suwon.

My family member is 3. Father, Mother and Me. My father has dangerous job, so my mother and I worry about him. My mother stays at home. I left school for about 2 years and I came back this year.

 

When I'm not working I love to watch TV and listen to music, I love to watch TV because it makes me laugh and feel free. I usually watch comedy programs. I love to listen to music because it makes me feel good and I don't worry about anything.
